Adverb



   
ADVERB :--
 
  An Adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a preposition and sometimes the whole sentence; as,

 *  He runs fast. ( Modifying the verb 'runs' )
 *  Nirupama is a very good girl. ( Modifying the adjective 'good')
 *  Sheela sings very sweetly. ( Modifying the adverb 'sweetly' )
 * The aeroplane was flying just over the city. ( Modifying the preposition 'over' )
 *  Ultimately, he yielded to his father's wishes. ( Modifying the whole sentence 'he yielded to his father's wishes')
