1. ADJECTIVES OF QUALITY :--

They describe the quality of a person, place or thing.
e.g.:--- Brave, good,
thick, large
etc.
* Kamla is a beautiful girl.
* He is an honest man.
* Delhi is a cosmopolitan city.
Note:--
* Adjectives of quality answers the question: Of what kind ?

2. PROPER ADJECTIVES:--

They are always derived from Proper Nouns.
They are always written in Capital letters.
e.g.:-- Italian, Indian, English etc.
* Yesterday, I met a
Russian tourist.
* He likes French wine.
* Ping Tang is a Chinese friend of mine.
* He likes French wine.
* Ping Tang is a Chinese friend of mine.

3. ADJECTIVES OF QUANTITY :---
=====================
They signify the quantity or measure of a thing.
e.g.:-- Much, all, small, sufficient, enough, some, whole, little etc.
* I ate some
rice.
* He has little intelligence.
* Mukesh has much money.
* He has little intelligence.
* Mukesh has much money.

4. ADJECTIVES OF NUMBER :---
They indicate the number of persons, places or
things.
e.g.:-- Five, forty- two, one, seven hundred, first, few, all,
several etc.
(a) Definite Numeral Adjectives :-- They denote exact number; as,
. One, twenty, eighty- four etc. ( Cardinal numbers )
. First, second, third, fourth etc. ( Ordinal numbers )
(b) Indefinite Numeral Adjectives :-- They do not denote an exact number; as,
All, no, many, some, certain, several etc.
(c) Distributive Numeral Adjectives :-- They refer to each one of number; as,
Each, every, either, neither etc.
Note :--
* Distributive Numeral Adjectives precede a noun.
e.g.:-- Each boy, every girl etc.
* Distributive Numeral Adjectives precede a noun.
e.g.:-- Each boy, every girl etc.

5. DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES :--

They point out a person or a thing.
e.g.:--This, these, that, those, such etc.
Note:-- They precede a noun.
* These apples are ripe.
* This house is mine.
* Those horses run swifter
than wind.

6. INTERROGATIVE ADJECTIVES :--
They ask questions.
Note :-- They precede a noun.
e.g.:-- Which, whose, what etc.
* Which book do you like
most ?
* Whose bag is this ?
* What kind of man is he ?

* What kind of man is he ?

7. EMPHASIZING ADJECTIVES :---
They lay emphasis on a person, place or a thing.
e.g.:-- Own, very
etc.
Note
:-- They precede a noun.
* It is my own
pen.
* He is the very boy who helped me last evening.
